Membership Benefits

IBACP Full Membership is synonymous with "Prescreened", "Background Checked", "Drug Tested", "12 Month Current" and "Highly Qualified" It's like having another "Credential".  With the Business Aviation membership requirement, your clients know you are a "turn-key" contract professional--not someone who is just learning how to be a Business Aviation Professional.

Website listing  You will be listed on the IBACP website as long as your membership is current.  Operators seeking prescreened IC's will be able to determine if you meet their insurance requirements and call you direct.

Your Aviation Critical Doucuments--Airman Certificates, Medical, Training Documents, Validations, Passports, etc.--scanned and available to your clients Online in your private, password protected folder on the IBACP Server.  You control who has access by providing the User ID and Password to clients of your choice.

Flight Crew Badges  that will have an expiration date will be available (optional) to all Full IBACP members.  The NATA Compliance badges have the capability of being encoded with the individual's data, and we hope to be able to use this feature as more airports have readers.
As a member of NBAA, our members also have access to the IBAC Aircrew Badges which are good for 3 years.

Library of Resources  This library dedicated the to contract professional will be growing as the website matures.

Networking  Your peers are a great resource for finding jobs, and sharing information on the IBACP members section of the IC Forum Message Board

Training Discounts  While IBACP can not guarantee exact discounts, we have been told that the self employed members of our association will be given special considerations and discounts.  FlightSafety International has appointed two special Customer Care coordinators to assist the IBACP members in finding training slots.  Similar arrangements are being made with SimuFlite.  Please note that training discounts will only be available to "Self Employed" ICP's.

Opportunity to Participate as a Unified Voice for Business Aviation Independent Contract Professionals through IBACP Association's relationship with NBAA and NATA Compliance.  Updates and security info will be posted on the members only sections of the IBACP message board.

If you believe that ICP's are true professionals--NOT just "out of work pilots and flight attendants" who can't hold a job, or unemployed gypsies and vagabonds, join us and work with your colleagues to dispell the myths.   Most of us don't need to go get "real jobs".   We're already business owners and self-employed.

The TSA is currently trying to sort out the role of the Independent Contract Professional.  We need to be there As A Unified Group to answer questions and demonstrate our seriousness to provide an essential service to the Business Aviation Industry.

NBAA Resources  IBACP Association is an Associate Member of NBAA.  Many of the resources and information will be made available to the membership.

Random Drug Program  IBACP members have the option to set up their own company drug testing program with the FAA.  NATA Compliance manages the program, does all of the reporting and makes the random selection.  The costs for setting up the drug program and running the random or initial drug tests are separate from membership dues.

Build your Security Portfolio  Members who are not currently on a Part 135 Certificate and have not had an opportunity to conduct background checks will have the option via the agreement that IBACP Association has with ARG/US or NATA Compliance.  The NATA Compliance results of the checks will go into the National Database and will be viewable online by the Administrator for your company.  (Note:  at this time security issues will not allow other companies to view your information.  However, You can login and show your customers from any computer connected to the internet.)  All documents issued as a result of these background checks will remain the property of the member.  The costs for the background and security checks are separate from IBACP membership dues .

One of our future goals is to achieve accessibility to the individuals' information that resides in the National Database by that individual and any new employer so that the checks and validations do not have to be repeated for every operator that a contractor works for.
